About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team delivering high quality horticultural services to a wide variety of green spaces on the JRHT estates. You will ensure that the high standards of presentation and service delivery prescribed by our schedules are maintained, and will focus on overseeing the maintenance and preparation of a wide variety of grounds and garden areas at care homes, sheltered housing and in our communal spaces.

You will provide day-to-day management of a multi-skilled team of operatives and their workload, and will be responsible for the service delivery of the Parks and Landscapes Team. The implementation of the service schedules, cyclical improvements to our spaces, and the motivation of the team to deliver the highest possible standards are the top priorities for this post.

About you

Coming to us with solid practical experience of horticulture and high-quality grounds maintenance, you will possess a horticultural qualification to a minimum of NVQ Level 3, and have good botanical knowledge. You will also possess the skills and experience to manage and motivate a team to work to high standards and within defined timescales.

Your ability to problem-solve, prioritise and communicate to a wide range of different people will also stand you in good stead. You will need a full UK driving licence, hold a PA1 and PA6 licence and understand health and safety and management of risk associated with a horticultural environment. If you share our passion to work to high standards and are motivated by a job well done, then we would love to hear from you.
