Cell and Molecular Biologist
An Oxford-based biotechnology company is seeking a Cell and Molecular Biologist to play a key role in the early-stage development of their therapeutic pipeline through conducting screens of potential drug candidates. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an early-stage biotechnology company looking to make a real impact on patients’ lives.
As a Cell and Molecular Biologist, you will be responsible for the design and execution of comprehensive screens for gene targets and therapeutics, maintain cell lines, perform transfections, and maintain accurate records of your work. You will need experience in a similar role within industry, and must be able to work independently to a high standard.
Requirements for this role:
- BSc/MSc in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, or related discipline;
- Proven experience within a similar screening role in industry;
- Experience with cell based assays (e.g. viability assays and transfection) and proficiency in cell line maintenance;
- Experience with PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, and Western blot.
