CCTV Operator

Red Recruitment is recruiting a CCTV Operator to join our client who offers CCTV and Alarm Services to other businesses. The ideal candidate will be reviewing CCTV and alerting the relevant person/team of any suspicious activity (this person may be external to the business).

This role is both, night and day work and has a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern. The salary for this position is £24,984 per annum.

To be a successful candidate for this role you will need a full UK driving license. Additionally, please note the client will conduct credit checks and background referencing (for the past 5 years).

Key Responsibilities of a CCTV Operator:

• Reviewing CCTV from clients (showrooms, building merchants sites etc), ensuring no suspicious activity has taken place
• Alerting the relevant individuals of any suspicious activity, this may be making telephone calls to various departments (within and outside the business), this can include the police, a client and/or the management team
• Logging the suspicious activity clearly and professionally at all times, especially as each suspicious activity can vary in terms of severity
• Ensuring all data received is processed in accordance with the requirements of the industry standard
• Ensuring the CCTV systems is fully functioning and that video footage is stored appropriately

Key Skills and Experience of a CCTV Operator:

• Having a CCTV Security License is preferred but if not, the client will fund this for you
• You should be tech-savvy and enjoy using various systems at one time
• Having a professional manner as you will be talking to various individuals, within and outside of the business
• Be comfortable with inputting data accurately
• Ability to manage internal and external relationships
• Self-motivated, hard-working and dedicated are all required skills
• Due to the shift patterns, having a valid UK driving license is required, if not reasonable transport access is accepted
