Category Manager

I am currently recruiting for a Category Manager to work for my client, a leading public body based in the Sheffield area. There will be requirement to travel throughout the area including Wakefield.

Your duties will include:
• Managing procurement category strategies for a portfolio of categories to achieve the aims and objectives.
• Provide professional advice on technical procurement matters.
• Develop and deliver procurement savings plans for specific categories.
• Manage contract reviews for business critical contracts
• Motivate and mentor Category Officers to assist their development

As the successful candidate you will have:
• Experience of managing all aspects of Category Management
• Have MCIPS level 6 or equivalent
• A good interpretation of EU procurement legislation
