Public Sector, large scale, complex projects and procurement's

Client Details

The client is a large public sector organisation going through a period of transformation and industry change. Based in the East Midlands with more than one site. Great transport links and and a renowned employer.


Create and manage large complex sourcing projects and negotiation activities with key suppliers, in line with the FM Category strategies, ensuring solutions meet the organisational requirements and deliver in-year P&L impacting savings and efficiency's.

Drive initiatives, from the procurement point of view, to achieve on time and in full whilst engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders.

Managing Strategic Sourcing projects from strategy development through to sourcing, negotiation and contract award.

Agreeing (and performing, as appropriate) post contract award Contract Management (contract admin) roles and responsibilities with stakeholders.

Build a clear and creditable category strategy ensuring integration into the organisations wider procurement strategy.


The successful FM category manager will have:

3-5 years experience delivering both full OJEU and light touch OJEU procurement's.

Sourcing, procurement and contract management skills and experience across FM Category with at least 3-5 years procurement experience.

Good knowledge and understanding of commercial and operational requirements.

Experience in the development and delivery of operational strategy and a track record of ensuring that such strategies deliver sustainable benefits and are fit for operational delivery.

Strong organisational skills, with experience of project management and program management, and a track record of successful deployment of major change initiatives during industry transformation.
