Category Buyer - Food & Drinks

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced buyer from a hotel, retail, FMCG or food services background to manage £10 to £15m spend. This role will entail working on major tenders, negotiating deals and maintaining significant supplier relationship management for a number of categories, including ambient, fresh, chilled and frozen food, along with a number of drinks buying contracts .
You will manage the commercial, sourcing and overall supplier relationship including creating partnership plans, savings pipeline & product/food innovation for key spend categories.

Requirements for the Role:
- Minimum 2 years' experience within food services, hotels, retail or FMCG industry
Preferably CIPS qualified.
Purchasing experience, various categories, preferably BWS or food.
Strong negotiation skills.
Proven track record of purchasing .
Self-driven for personal development.
Flexible, willing to learn and able to work within a fast moving environment
up to £40,000 plus 10% bonus
