We love, value and respect our CAREgivers because they simply do an incredible thing that is often overlooked - they put a smile on the faces of the people in our community who need a little bit of extra support.
We have a unique approach to our clients, it is about learning to get to know the person who you support, like any friend or family member would. This means we spend our time engaging with our clients, listening to them, laughing with them, sharing with them and finding ways to make sure that they are valued for who they are.
Many of our clients do not require personal care. This is where we differ to other care providers in the Huntingdon and St Neots area.
We assist with any basic tasks to enable our clients to remain living independently in their own homes, such as; meal preparation, light housework and companionship - however our main objective is to engage with our clients and provide mental and physical stimulation. This could be a trip out to a tea room, going to the garden centre, doing art and crafts, or reminiscing over the past.
We provide full training and take people on who haven’t worked in care before. If you are from a volunteer, teaching assistant, nursery or hair dressing background then this will be the perfect position or you.
We have an amazing sense of community in the business - like a family and many of our CAREgivers have been with us for over 5 years. This is because we treat you well and always support you. We have an open-door policy for all of our staff, we have regular team meetings, staff parties, vouchers and thank you cards to acknowledge the difference you make and we are involved in charitable causes such as fun runs and Tombola’s.
We also provide the following:
- 1 hour minimum visits - we give you time with each client
- £9 p/h weekdays
- £9.80 p/h weekends
- £18 p/h bank holidays
- 25p mileage (per mile driven)
- Chance to win a £1000 through our feedback scheme
- Understanding management team
- Chance to use your hobbies and interests at work!
We match up our clients with our CAREgivers, based on shared interests. If you love to bake, then support someone who would like some assistance in the kitchen, or to just watch Bake Off together! If you like gardening and being outdoors - work with someone who shares those interests.
