Used Car Sales Executive
Salary: £14,000 pa OTE: £70,000+
45 hours per week

My Client is opening a Premium Multi-Franchise Used Car Dealership in Blackheath, South East London and we are looking for a highly motivated Used Car Sales Executive to help drive the business. This is an opportunity to be part of an established and expanding premium automotive retail group.

What you’ll be doing

As a Used Car Sales Executive you will be responsible for meeting your sales and profits targets, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the range of cars available. You will provide outstanding customer service by understanding the customers' requirements and exceeding their expectations.

Role responsibilities - including but not limited to

  • To achieve vehicle sales and profit targets, working in a high functioning team
  • To have thorough knowledge of the product range including new technologies, and have knowledge of our competitors in order to speak confidently and effectively to existing and potential customers about our cars and services
  • To proactively prospect new and existing customers, whether face-to-face, telephone, online or event marketing; communicating latest deals, finance and technology information
  • To provide regular reports on sales activities, follow-ups, prospects, forecasts and new customers
  • To ensure all used cars are well maintained and well presented for customer viewing with correct price and specification information
  • To create and coordinate customer appointments, proactively organising and making necessary arrangements for test drives including the preparation and checking of the vehicle prior to the test drive
  • To provide quotations to new and existing customers including liaising with the team regarding finance negotiation and insurance matters
  • To undertake evaluations of customer vehicles presented for part-exchange to ensure fair quotes issued to customer that have included a technical evaluation and commercial appraisal

Who you need to be

  • You must enjoy working as part of a team and also recognise individual responsibility to contribute to the performance and success of the team
  • You must be a productive Car Sales Executive and sell the required number of units for the department to achieve its targets.
  • You will have an understanding of the needs of others and a willingness to go the extra mile
  • You will have the ability to learn and develop, keep up-to-date with complex/ technical/product information
  • You will have a passion for customer service, have a process orientated approach and be professional and well presented

Your experience

  • You will have two years’ car sales experience in either franchise or non-franchise dealership motor trade environment working to targets
  • Must be adaptable and versatile with an ability to sell premium car brands
  • Able to work within a defined sales process environment
  • Have good administration and computer skills
  • Clean and full driving licence
