Car Paint Prepper/Polisher

£16-20 per hour depending on experience

Basildon

Permanent/Full Time

Monday to Friday (8am - 5.30pm)

Our client, in the Basildon area, is on the lookout for an experienced Car Paint Prepper/Polisher to join their busy bodyshop. If you hold the right experience - this could be your next role! Please apply today!

Duties & Responsibilities of a Car Paint Prepper/Polisher:

  • Completing prepping and polishing work allocated in relation to job card, request parts and signing job cars on completion, ensuring all parts are approved and ordered on dismantling receiving relevant sign off.
  • Ensuring all tasks are carried out in compliance with Health and Safety guidelines, wearing any PPE provided and ensuring that work areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Filling and priming, ensuring each vehicle is ready for it’s allocated bodyshop repair.
  • Working closely with the team to ensure the vehicle is repaired in a timely manner.
  • Providing timely information and updates to team members and colleagues.
  • Prioritising any reworks.

Your Background & Skill:

  • Experience in prepping within a bodyshop environment and working on motor vehicles.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads to ensure you achieve targets.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
