C# Software Developer ( near Stroud)

My client is rapidly growing and, as such, has engaged Akkodis to help them hire a C# Software Developer to join their team. As a specialist in their market, they have been trading for 60 years and are going from strength to strength.

This role will see you working within a team of developers designing and modifying computer applications for internal and external use as well as Architecting and solution planning web applications for internal and external use.

Other responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Researching and examining current systems. Analysing and quality-assuring existing products and solutions.
• Talking to users to find out their requirements, organising and documenting requirements, and putting together solution architect documentation plans.
• Agreeing proposals and timescales.
• Providing and developing against realistic time scale estimates against project requirements
• Developing solutions, QA team member's output, writing automated and carrying out testing.
• Making appropriate modifications.
• Investigating and implementing appropriate fixes to existing live systems

In order to be successful in this role you should have

• Good knowledge of using C# and ASP.NET MVC

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adeptness to problem solving, together with strong customer service and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

Desirable:

• Experience of JavaScript, Angular or other client side frameworks

• ?Microsoft Certification (MCSD/MCSA) or the desire to progress to Microsoft Certification

• MS SQL experience

This is a hybrid role; the first 3-6 months will be mostly on site then the expectation is at least one day a week on site thereafter.
