C-CHC04 Senior Locality Nurse

The North of England Commissioning Support Unit (NECS) provides a range of services to Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) across a growing number of counties. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated RN/RMN/RNLD to join the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) Team, based in South Cumbria. The South Cumbria CHC Team works with  Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU) to support  Morecambe Bay  CCG to ensure the National Framework for CHC is adhered to.

As a Senior Locality Nurse, the post holder will be a key contributor in supporting the  CHC Team in screening clients for CHC, predominantly  within a nursing home setting. You will work as part of a dynamic team and will support the Clinical Team Leader and Clinical Lead in meeting performance indicators and internal and external audits. You will form excellent relationships with key stakeholders including clients, families, representatives, CCG customers, providers and the Local Authority etc.,

The successful candidate  will be motivated, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude, with a high level of interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge and experience of CHC is essential. The role requires an individual who is organised and confident and has the ability to work under pressure, both autonomously and as part of the wider team.

 This role is  predominantly based in South Cumbria, however travel across Cumbria, to  other NECS catchments and CCG locations throughout the region will be essential, as well as out of county when required.
