Zachary Daniels Recruitment is delighted to be partnered with this leading home improvement retailer to recruit a Buying Project Manager to bring into their commercial team.
The Buying Project Manager role will have overall accountability within Strategic Procurement for managing the financial reporting of the supplier income and cost of goods programmes as well as delivering their part of the annual globally supplied buying improvements plan.
The Buying Project Manager will originate, define, plan and manage a variety of Projects to help the Category Management Team buy at the best possible price to maximise profit, managing cross-functional teams, project dependencies, risks and issues, and have a clear and co-ordinated strategy to communicate to all key stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
To be considered for this role you will come from a Senior Buyer, Category Manager or Procurement Manager background ideally from within a retail based business.
You will be commercially focused, innovative and able to work in a fast paced, varied environment.
The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and data orientated skills, an eye for details and the ability to translate performance related data quickly and accurately, making improvement recommendations accordingly, for wider business use.
You will be looking for a varied role which operates across a multitude of categories, whilst being able to hold stakeholders to account and challenge where necessary.
