KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Buyer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. You will coordinate and execute purchasing/ sourcing activities according to established purchasing policies and procedures to ensure they are executed in the company's best interest.
2. As the Buyer, you will conduct supply market research (desktop / supplier meetings) to understand supply challenges (price, quality, availability, etc.) and short-list potential suppliers.
3. You will also run competitive processes to select fit-for-purpose suppliers across a range of goods and services; assure compliance to GMP processes, understand business needs/requirements and establish contracts/ T&Cs with selected suppliers.
4. It will be crucial to identify continuous improvement opportunities to improve reliability whilst guide the business in any ongoing sourcing activities within their departments.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Buyer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Proven industry experience in a regulated procurement role is essential as well as experience of Pharmaceutical products and processes.
2. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ERP systems (IFS, SAP preferably).
3. A proven track record of stakeholder management and engagement is key.
