Job Title: Business Unit Administrator
rate: up to £15 per hour
Duration: Initially 6 months
We are seeking a highly organized, independent professional to join our team in the role of Procurement and Business Unit Admin Support. This role will encompass a variety of tasks including procurement processes, import/export operations, and interdepartmental coordination. An ideal candidate will have a solid administrative skillset, with strong attention to detail, and the capability to manage their workload efficiently.
Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be expected to perform a variety of tasks that are central to the company's operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing procurement processes, including purchasing from vendors and logging transactions on the purchase order platform.
- Supporting import/export operations by collating necessary paperwork for customers abroad.
- Providing administrative support to the business unit, including end of payroll administration and coordinating with other departments.
- Serving as the first point of contact for visitors, including checking them in, guiding them through the induction process, and introducing them to their meeting counterparts.
- The role requires a high degree of independence and organizational skills, and the ability to manage your workload efficiently.
The successful candidate for this role will need to have a specific set of skills and experience, including:
- Experience in procurement and import/export operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Strong administrative skills, with the ability to coordinate tasks and manage workload independently.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- While not required, experience with a purchase order platform (such as Mendix) and familiarity with EHS procedures would be beneficial. Training will be provided where necessary.
