Full-Time Temporary Business Specialist (Secondary BTEC Teacher) in Sutton

Location: Sutton, SW London

Start date: ASAP

Pay scale: MPS for Outer London (Main Pay Scale equivalent)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Business Specialist to teach KS3 to KS5 Media at a large, modern, Co-ed school in Sutton, SW London.

The school has an excellent reputation for providing outstanding vocational education and are looking for someone suitable to join an already very successful and supportive department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching BTEC, vocational Business. The assignment will start immediately and is expected to last for the duration of the summer term. However, there is a possibility that this position may become permanent in September.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and stimulating lessons
  • Preparing and assessing coursework, assignments, and projects
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress
  • Providing constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of the Business curriculum
  • Participating in school events and extracurricular activities

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching BTEC Business
  • Knowledge of the BTEC and vocational Business curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Vetting documents:

  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Overseas police clearance (if applicable)
  • Right to work in the UK documentation
  • Qualification certificates
