Are you a skilled Regulatory Analyst with a passion for the banking industry? Do you thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment? Our client, a leading player in the banking industry, is seeking a talented Business Regulatory Analyst to join their team on a fixed-term 6-month contract. The role is a Hybrid position on site in their London office 3 days a week and 2 days working remotely, working normal office hours.

Key Role and Daily Tasks

  • Direct and assist teams in eliciting, challenging, and prioritizing requirements, translating them into functional design and use case models.
  • Manage project scope, objectives, constraints, and assumptions for large, strategic, multi-year programs.
  • Provide guidance in the development of technical design, test plans, and user documentation.
  • Lead implementation/conversion strategy planning and execution.
  • Manage scope and change throughout the initiative using formal change control and requirements traceability.
  • Gather and analyse information, providing recommendations to address strategic business objectives spanning multiple, global business and technology areas.
  • Actively participate in industry forums and stay current on domain knowledge for specific business and application areas of expertise.
  • Apply experience with existing software and/or systems development processes to define and collect metrics and develop better processes for future use.
  • Influence software and/or systems development process improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the achievement of related area objectives.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, or related fields within the banking or financial services industry is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of banking regulations and compliance frameworks, preferably with experience in regulatory reporting and analysis.
  • Familiarity with the operations and regulatory environment of a financial institution
  • Ability to analyse complex regulatory requirements and their impact on business operations.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in regulatory reporting and compliance activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate regulatory requirements and updates to stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements, including but not limited to Basel III, Dodd-Frank, AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer), and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
  • Understanding of risk management principles and their application in regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting systems and technology platforms used in banking operations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet regulatory deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in regulatory requirements and business processes.
  • Familiarity with relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office suite and regulatory reporting systems.
