We are looking to onboard a contract Business Project Manager to support delivery of a major workstream which is running concurrently with other concurrent workstreams within the program, has multiple internal and external dependencies, and significant operating model change.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Project Planning & Management

  • Create and maintain project plan throughout the life of the project that reflects the work required to support the delivery of the project's goals, objectives and business outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with Business, Technology, Test and Ops partners to roll out workstream changes.
  • Work with stakeholders to measure progress against the tasks, artifacts and milestones within the plan and re-plan as needed.
  • Support Attestations and Audits, as needed.
  • Enable a "no surprises" project culture.

Governance

  • Ensure that the project adheres to Governance Framework and Standards, Business controls, risk and regulatory requirements, and Northern Trust's policies and procedures, throughout the project.
  • Actively manage Risk, Issues and dependencies to ensure that the owners are addressing them in a timely manner.
  • Escalate, in a timely manner to the appropriate party(ies), to secure decisions needed, removal of road blocks and other obstacles or constraints.
  • Keep RAID log up to date.
  • Prepare Weekly Status Report & material for Monthly Steer/any ad-hoc reporting.

Stakeholder Management

  • Identify and engage appropriate teams (Business, IT, Ops, Regulatory) and manage relationship & expectations pro-actively.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, active listing and able to take crisp notes, follow-up on actions to bring these to closure on time.
  • Budgeting
  • Support program manager on resource and budget management.

Experience

  • Hands-on 10+ years in Project Management
  • Project manager must be able to deliver on the agreed upon program goals, objectives and business benefits, supporting the program manager in management of the program's scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk.
  • Confident in engaging Business & Ops teams, Product owners, Development and Test Leads to drive project forward.
  • Successful candidate must be a critical thinker, with the ability to understand the larger program while managing and comprehending the smaller details, specially ability to connect dots across interdependent workstreams.
  • Cash and Banking experience would be a significant benefit, and effective communication skills are a must.
  • Worked in a Matrix Organization.
  • Preferred
  • Functional delivery experience in Payments (ISO 20022) domain will be a big plus.
  • Cash Team uses Scaled Agile development so the successful candidate would benefit from strong Agile experience.

  • Prior NT experience

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Well versed with MS Project or equivalent project management application
  • Excellent command on MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred:

  • Collaboration Tools: Teams, Miro, SharePoint, One Note, One Drive, Miro
  • Agile Tools: Azure Dev Ops (ADO) or Jira
  • PPM Tools experience: Clarity
