Business Objects Reporting Analyst

The Reporting Analyst will work with Business Objects in order to create and maintain various reports for the clients Global Concern Management system.

The Reporting Analyst will work within the Technical Service Operations department and report to and work closely with the Global Technical Support Manager, Project Manager and other key departments globally

Reporting Analyst Candidate Responsibilities

  • Use Business Objects to create scheduled and ad-hoc reports
  • Support the Senior Reporting Analyst to identify and analyse concerns and key trends within the Technical Service Operations department
  • Be the main contact person for Business Objects and data related queries and updates
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to support departmental KPIs
  • Liaise with the Technical Support System Developers and the Business Objects Team
  • Assist in system and reporting development
  • Produce project and report documentation
  • Support the Reporting Analyst to achieve departmental KPI targets
  • Maintain schedules, work plans and timing plans as required

Reporting Analyst Candidate Specifications

  • The ideal candidate will have excellent understanding and proven experience with SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence (WebI), including the creation and editing of reports. This will be tested during the recruitment process
  • Experience of managing the reporting of large data sets
  • Ability to identify trends and issues to put together reporting models on own initiative
  • High level of literacy and numeracy is essential
  • High level of computer literacy, especially advanced MS Excel (including Pivot charts)
  • Experience of Relational Database and SQL (Structured Query Language) an advantage
  • Ability to pro-actively interact with other departments for necessary information
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to present and build relationships with key stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Strong self-starter, pro-active with good problem-solving abilities
  • Strong team player with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Experience within Retailer/Manufacturer vehicle operations is an advantage

Reporting Analyst Working hours

  • Full time - 40hrs per week
