We have an exciting opportunity to join our existing BI team. We are looking for those of you who wish to grow with us as a business in our Bromsgrove office with hybrid working opportunities. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary plus a range of benefits.

As the BI Analyst, you will work with our suite of reporting tool kits, including Power BI and other analytical tools, for the creation of reports and dashboards for the Groups stakeholders. You will work collaboratively with our data engineering and wider digital Innovations team to ensure that requirements are delivered via robust solutions.

Your role will be to produce quality reporting and dashboards in line with the Stakeholders requirements, as well as to provide ad-hoc analysis where required and any support they require in answering questions or queries with these. This role will report to Head of Data and BI.

Key Responsibilities as our BI Analyst will include:

  • Produce high quality reporting solutions to the business based on agreed KPI in Power BI.
  • Deep dive data analysis, finding and presenting deeper and more layered insights.
  • Analyse complex data to determine correlation and data integrity issues.
  • Work closely with Stakeholders on reporting requirements ensuring the solution is delivered to spec.
  • Manage and support queries from Stakeholders and SMEs for any amendments or issues relating to this reporting.
  • To be pro-active in suggesting and proposing creative solutions or new technologies to support the Board and wider business teams involved.
  • Ability to deliver compelling and clear insight to the wider business.
  • Work closely with other BI and Data Team members to enable reporting to be automated.
  • To aid colleagues across the business in the effective interpretation of data.
  • Maintenance and creation of supporting documentation to products developed.
  • Perform data cleansing, preparation, reporting and data analysis using statistical techniques.
  • Transferring/migrating data from 3rd party systems/data into partnered software as per the specifications and to highest possible standards including extracting and manipulating data from various sources

What we are looking for in our idealBI Analyst:

  • You will be an experienced reporting professional with a good understanding of SQL scripting and data modelling gained in a BI and reporting development environment.
  • Significant experience in using Power BI (Desktop and Online, as well as Excel (to a lesser degree).
  • Comfortable working with an Agile methodology using Kanban boards.
  • You can work collaboratively with those around you, proactively building exceptional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders – you are equally able to shape the decisions with well-informed views.
  • Experience with dimensional modelling (warehouses, data vaults, etc.) would be desirable.
