Job Title: Business Development Specialist

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-Time/Permanent

Location: Macclesfield, fully on-site  

Hours: Either 08:00-17:00 or 08:15-17:15, Monday-Thursday. Friday is 08:00-13:00

Reed are proud to, again, be working with our longstanding aerospace client in Macclesfield, supporting with their search for a Business Development Specialist. Due to an expansion move in their successful business development team, we have a rare opportunity in a team that usually doesn’t recruit!

Please don’t be put off by the specific industry of this role – FULL training will be provided to update your existing skill set.

The Role:

In this entry-level Business Development Specialist position, you will be pivotal in extending their market reach and uncovering new opportunities. This role is perfect for an ambitious individual eager to make their mark in the aerospace industry. You will engage in strategic research, foster relationships, deliver compelling presentations and help articulate our value proposition to diverse clients. With a focus on innovation and growth, you will explore and penetrate new markets, ensuring their continued expansion and success. Under the mentorship of their experienced business development team, you will learn, grow, and refine your BD skills!

  • Strategic Market Exploration: Undertake comprehensive market research to pinpoint emerging business opportunities and trends across the aerospace sector and beyond.
  • Lead Cultivation: Utilise various methods to generate and nurture leads, expanding their potential client network through targeted research, effective networking, and industry event participation.
  • Effective Communication: Collaborate with the business development team to present their products and services compellingly to establish and deepen client relationships.
  • Creative Proposals: Contribute to the development of engaging proposals that communicate their unique offerings and are tailored to each potential client's specific needs and challenges.
  • Market Expansion: Actively seek ways to extend current market reach, identifying and capturing previously undiscovered opportunities with a proactive and strategic approach.

About You:

  • Ideally, previous experience in a sales role
  • Ideally, degree educated.
  • presentation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade various audiences, are crucial for success in this role.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow: Ready to dive into the world of business development and aerospace.
  • Confident ability to articulate ideas clearly and connect with a wide range of people.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Analytical Thinking: Adept at problem-solving and strategic analysis, with a proactive mindset.
  • Industry Passion: A genuine interest in the aerospace sector and a commitment to contributing to its advancement.
