Our client is an established multi-award-winning business experiencing significant growth in the renewable sector. They are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic and imaginative Business Development Manager who can demonstrate a successful track record in a similar field to join their friendly team

BDM Responsibilities

  • Following a period of training, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:
  • Development of new and existing customers to maximise activity
  • Development of reseller partners and introducers
  • Responding to inbound leads and referrals
  • Developing long-term mutually beneficial relationships
  • Identifying and researching new routes to market
  • Promotion & sale of company's products & services
  • Maintaining records, order information and communicating with all levels of the business and customers
  • Development throughout the UK, in person and via telephone calls, emails and various acceptable forms of media
  • Producing sales quotations & reports
  • Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstration

BDM Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a BDM role with a strong focus on new business
  • The ability to generate new profitable business
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to work to targets and meet deadline
  • An ability to accurately forecast inbound business
  • An ability to process information and data from Excel and others
  • A positive outgoing nature
  • Excellent timekeeping
  • Good organisation skills
  • Full driving licence
  • The following attributes would be a distinct advantage although not essential:
  • Degree in Business, Electrical or similar field would be advantageous.
  • Previous promotion of Renewables or Green Tech would be advantageous
