Great opportunity within Synaptic for an experienced and driven Business Development Manger

About the role

The Business Development Manager will develop and manage relationships with advisory businesses operating in the wealth management sector. The Business Development Manager will ensure that there is a strong partnership between Synaptic Software and the client and that they receive excellent service and support from that ensures retention and maximises opportunities to grow the value they represent.

The BDM will have a new business target to achieve from a combination of new and existing clients

Synaptic Software is made up of approximately 75 staff split between Whiteley and Solihull. The company is responsible for design, development, marketing, sales, training and support of financial software products and services.

What you will do:

    • Ability to operate and establish relationships with Board level personnel within your target customer sector (both current and potential customers)

    • Proven account management skills used to create, own, maintain and enhance customer relationships.

    • Excellent knowledge of the Financial Adviser community including key personnel and influencers

    • Ability to discuss understand and shape high level customer requirements and to communicate these to Synaptic Software Product and Development staff

    • Commitment to maintaining and improving customer service standards with Consultative selling and closing skills

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent organisational and time management skills

    • High degree of computer literacy, to include Microsoft Office, Email and Internet

    • Able to work well and methodically in a demanding environment

    • Team player with genuine enthusiasm to make a contribution and ready to take on more responsibilities as job develops

      Your experience will include:

    • Excellent knowledge of Financial Services and IFA business processes.

    • Strong knowledge of Synaptic Software's suite of products

    • Financial Planning Certificate or other industry qualifications.

    • Knowledge of IT; software, hardware and databases.

    • Strong interpersonal skills (face-face and telephone)

    • Highly Proactive

    • Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well

    • Displays Honesty & Integrity, Reliable & Punctual, Flexible & Adaptable
