Business Development Manager

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced New Business Development Manager to join a unique business model which was established in 2013 by a group of Welsh-based entrepreneurs. Improving on the safety and technology of the UK passenger market, my client is looking for an enthusiastic, intelligent and driven sales minded individual to join their team.

You will also account manage existing key clients to build strong relationships, facilitate client retention, maintain the current client base and maximise on business opportunities. As this position develops, your focus will switch to a predominantly account management positon.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Develop new business opportunities within a target geographical area
  • Target and convert key contacts into new accounts through signing contract agreements
  • Account manage existing clients
  • Convert new business clients into long term accounts through providing excellent service
  • Communicate and liaise between clients and relevant internal staff to ensure effective resolution of any operational issues, complaints or concerns
  • Keep up to date and accurate records of all correspondence, including meetings, with clients via the CRM system

Skills and Capabilities:


  • Proven success in identifying and growing business within a defined territory
  • Telephone based sales experience
  • Account Management experience
  • Be tenacious, self-motivated and have a target driven approach
  • Highly motivated, resilient individual who is confident working on their own
  • Good geographical knowledge of the local area
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard working hours
