Business Development Manager - South East

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with either a Fire Safety or Security background. Our client sells to trade customers and is looking to expand their sales team to cover the South East of England. As this is a remote role, you can be based anywhere in the South East, however, you must be able to visit customers based in this area face to face.

The company has expanded rapidly over the last couple of years and is looking to continue their success into 2024 and beyond. We are looking for an experienced sales professional that can work independently and who is driven by both service levels and commission.

This is a role for a hunter, although you will manage some accounts, you have a high level of support from the office team. You will work one to one with one of the office based account manager so that you always have what you need in terms of pricing, documentation and account support.

Main duties to include:
  • Generating leads with trade customers
  • Meeting with potential customers face to face
  • Establish customer needs and recommend a suitable solution
  • Provide pricing and ensure products are well suited for potential bids and tenders
  • Cross sell products for customers who don’t purchase the full range of products
  • Build relationships with internal sales and account management team
We are looking for:
  • An experienced business development manager
  • Experience of selling either fire or security products
  • Someone who seeks out new business opportunities
  • An independent worker who is self motivated and driven
  • A full UK driving licence
Benefits:
  • £45k-£55k - negotiable for the right person
  • OTE £85k
  • Car or car allowance (Mercedes C Class or similar)
