Remuneration: £40,000 + 1% uncapped commission

Benefits: Full benefits package and car allowance

The role of the Business Development Manager - Interior Fit Out will involve:

  • Field sales position selling the design and delivery of interior fit out and furniture solutions
  • Selling / generating specifications into a varied customer base a) direct to schools via estate managers, business managers, multi academy trusts own surveyors, ministry of defence and other end users such as the police b) through specification via architect and c) via the main contactors/ builders
  • 80% New business development role, 20% inherited project pipeline
  • Leads provided (Barber ABI)
  • Project cycles from 12-18 months typical for 1-3 school lab refurbishments
  • Problem solving, resolving conflicts and providing solutions to customers’ needs
  • Targeted to achieve circa £850k - £1m of new business
  • Typical projects would include schools, ministry of defence, police, healthcare and associated industries

The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager - Interior Fit Out with:

  • Must come from an interior fit out, education furniture or design and build field sales background
  • Understanding of FF&E packages for the education sector would be a bonus
  • CAD experience would be advantageous however not essential
  • Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects / problem solving attitude
  • Good time management skills, focused and customer service orientated
