The client we are working with are one of the biggest and most renounced soft drink producers in the UK. It’s a FTSE 250 business with over 1,000 employees across the UK.
The role is for a Business Development Manager reporting directly into the Convenience Sales Controller. The focus of the role is to build strong, commercially beneficial relationships and ultimately increase sales brand awareness across some of their key accounts in the symbol group sector.
75% of the role will be account management, dealing with buyers at the head offices of SPAR, Nisa, Mcoll’s, Costcutter and AF Blakemoore to grow the accounts.
You will have 1 BDE reporting into you and have a good level of autonomy in how you choose to develop the accounts.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience selling into convenience/multiples/symbol groups.
Experience in creating joint business plans
Experience operating in the FMCG industry (not necessarily soft drinks).
Management experience is preferred but not essential.
Personality, drive and strong commercial acumen.
On offer is a basic salary of up to £50,000 + 10% bonus (under review 15-20% likely), Fully Expensed Company Car (BMW 5 Series or 330E), laptop, mobile, pension contribution, Share ownership Scheme, health insurance, 33 days holiday.
