They are now the service of choice for economic and investment research by economists, analysts, investors, corporations, and universities around the world and are currently looking to recruit for a Business Development Manager to join their London based Sales team.
About the role of Business Development Manager
We are looking to recruit for a Business Development Manager to join a dynamic and growing sales team in Central London. You will be responsible for selling subscriptions / licenses for their macro economic data and research into a range of new clients including Asset Management Firms, Hedge Funds, Investment Banks, Business Consulting Firms, Corporates and Academic Institutions across EMEA but with a focus on UK, Benelux and Germany / DACH region.
The role is very new business focused and you will be spending at least 20 - 30% of your time travelling to meet with new prospects for sales presentations. Any accounts you bring in will be passed onto a dedicated Account Manager and therefore we are looking for a sales hunter who enjoys the cut and thrust of new business sales.
There is fantastic scope for growth and earning potential and the role would suit an ambitious and hungry sales individual who enjoys working in an autonomous environment where they can manage their own book of business.
Your Skills and Experience
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets
- Strong new business / business development skills
- Knowledge of Capital Markets, particularly equities and fixed income
- Good understanding of financial markets / economics and experience of selling subscription research solutions (i.e. market data or business information)
- Experience of selling into UK and Europe / Germany
- Fluency in Germany would be beneficial but not essential
- Excellent face to face presentation and sales negotiation skills
