Job Title: Business Development Manager - Energy

Location: West Sussex (Hybrid: 1 day per week on-site)

Contract 6 Months

Pay: £350-£450/day

Role Overview:

As the 'face' of Energy Services, you will develop and maintain productive partnerships internally and with other organisations across the county, understanding their energy and carbon ambitions and developing our offer to help achieve them. Innovation will be key to delivering this.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Growth: Develop and nurture relationships with stakeholders and partners to expand energy portfolio and pipeline. Utilise strategic planning to enhance financial position within the energy market.

  • Data Analysis: Research, analyse, and interpret energy and carbon data to make informed recommendations, considering broader business impacts.

  • Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and effectively convey complex information.

  • Adaptability: Think laterally and adapt to changing circumstances, providing tailored advice and guidance to address legislative, structural, or partnership-related changes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Energy Management, Business Management, or related discipline; or equivalent industry experience.
  • Knowledge of financial and budget management.
  • Advanced understanding of systems, procedures, and policies related to complex energy issues.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Word and Excel (or equivalent), with experience in energy, project, and client data management software.
  • Familiarity with Local Government responsibilities for sustainability, energy, economy, or business studies.
