£50,000 - £70,000 + Car Allowance + Uncapped Commission

As a Business Development Manager, you would be leading an experienced and talented team of sales professionals to deliver our ambitious growth targets. The role is vital to the development of the business and as such, a competitive salary and benefits package is ready and waiting for the right person.

Your purpose will be to achieve the business plan through the development of a highly skilled and productive sales force and supporting the marketing function helping to drive and measure business growth across the UK and internationally.

Our goal is that the successful candidate will build a small team of salespeople to maximise our market share.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate Mechanical Engineer / equivalent (an alternative degree will also be considered).
• Professional Salesperson / Sales Engineer.
• At least five years field sales experience (lesser experience will be considered for an exceptional candidate).
• Very familiar with Steam Turbines and Electrical Generators.
• Willing to travel expensively throughout the UK, Western Europe and Scandinavia (this may involve long periods away from home).
• Extensive experience of selling capital products and services.
• Capable of building and managing a small sales team.
• Exceptional listener and communicator.
• Highly adaptive.
• Articulate.
• Highly motivated and ambitious.
• Capable of developing to Director level.
