Our client is a specialist to the Freight Forwarding, Transport and Shipping industries. Their current staff has a combined total of more than 75 years' experience in the industry and they are now looking to strengthen the team and bring in an additional freight forwarding Telesales specialist to expand the team.
Your role of Business Development executive will involve selling general freight forwarding services. They are a small tightly knit team of 4 + this new recruit. They are really busy and already make a good profit as a team so are now looking to build on this to continue their growth.
They have all the tools for the candidate to be successful, with an extensive database, sales equipment and for example they hold the contract for a major shipping lines largest UK ( non-scrap) export customer so there rates reflect their spend.
Your role will involve selling general freight forwarding services both imports and export worldwide. Selling and promoting air and sea freight import/exports services in the main China, USA and India promoting the company and growing the sales revenue.
Based in the North West with an open sales territory you can sell anywhere in the UK
In order to apply for this role you will have a solid sales background gained from working for a freight forwarder selling an air, sea or ideally both trade lanes.
You will be keen, committed, and able to work on your own initiative with the ability to source your own leads, new business orientated with a flair for growing and developing your own accounts with particular focus on China, USA and Indian markets.
