Summary

My high-profile utilities client is looking for a business change manager to join their team Based at their Warwick offices (1 day a week on site) on an initial 6-month contract with chance of extensions.

As Business Change Manager. Your primary objective will be to spearhead our transformative initiatives, with particular focus on our Technology regulatory projects, in a multi-supplier landscape. You will take charge of supporting multiple projects, overseeing the end-to-end process of business change, from comprehensive understanding of the impacts of change, to developing communication strategies, engagement tactics, and training programmes. Your role will entail driving business readiness and adoption, requiring close collaboration with internal and at times external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and successful implementation of change initiatives.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of business change initiatives, focusing on National Gas Technology projects.
  • Assess the impact of proposed changes on various business functions and stakeholders, ensuring comprehensive understanding and effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement communication plans to effectively convey the change, timelines and benefits to stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Create and deliver training programmes to equip staff with the knowledge and skills required to successfully use new products.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams, business units, and external parties to ensure seamless integration of change initiatives and alignment with overall project objectives.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Engage and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders involved in National Gas technology projects.
  • Content development: Create compelling and engaging content for various communication and engagement channels.

Knowledge, skills and technical know-how.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Change Management supporting projects and programmes (ideally Technology but not essential)
  • Strong understanding of the Business change end-to-end process, including change impacts, comms, engagement, training, business readiness, and adoption.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and concise messages for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in developing and executing change plans for multiple projects across various channels.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to understand the end user perspective and identify relevant messaging.
  • Experience in creating engaging content to bring messaging to life for non-technical audiences.
  • Forward looking with a holistic approach
  • Self-starter / proactive / driven.
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively.
  • Experience operating in a SAFe Agile environment (desirable)
