Overview:
As a Business Analyst Apprentice at ABP, you'll be at the forefront of completing a Level 4 Business Analyst apprenticeship, with the exciting potential to progress onto a degree apprenticeship for the right candidate.

Job Title: Business Analyst Apprentice
Location: Birmingham & Hybrid
Starting salary: £20,000 per annum (incremental increases throughout the duration of the apprenticeship)
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Reporting to: IT Business Relationships Manager

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work collaboratively within the Central IT Department, contributing to the creation of user stories reflecting business requirements 
  • Develop comprehensive business cases for change initiatives, showcasing value, cost, and return on investment 
  • Participate in internal and external training sessions and workshops to learn and apply Business Analysis methodologies 
  • Collaborate with IT scrum teams, business stakeholders, colleagues, and suppliers to define and understand change goals 
  • Effectively communicate the progress of change to colleagues, stakeholders, teammates, and customers, ensuring informed and involved participation 
  • Provide support to Project Managers and Scrum teams in active change delivery, including defining goals, plans, and monitoring progress 
  • Contribute to the finalisation of project and change deliverables 
  • Document Business Requirements and create Process Flows 

What we are looking for:

  • Problem-solving approach and adaptability 
  • Enthusiasm for technology and customer support 

No formal experience is required as full training will be given.

Entry requirements:

  • Level 3 Qualification + at least 12 months of work experience* + robust onboarding plan (learner must work in the organisation for 3 months before signing up)
  • OR business-related degree eg business, finance, economics, maths, etc.
  • OR non-business-related degree + at least 6 months of work experience*
  • OR existing staff member with 2+ years of work experience**

*Work experience relates to any valid work experience. 

**Existing staff work experience should not be in a business analyst role. 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
