This role sits within the repairs section of a highly regarded North West housing provider. The main purpose of the role is to carry out surveys across a set geographical area and reduce end customer complaints regarding damp & mould.

My client is one of the leading social housing providers in the North West who provides housing and property management services to over 14,000 properties across the Greater Manchester area.

Description

  • Undertaking Building Surveying duties related to maintenance and repair of properties, focusing specifically on damp & mould.
  • Ensuring that all properties are in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assisting in the procurement of contractors and overseeing their work from start to finish.
  • Tenant focused - regular interactions with customers, attentively listening and recording their queries during visits and acting upon them accordingly.

Profile

A successful Interim Building Surveyor should have:

  • A relevant degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
  • A good understanding of building maintenance and repair, focusing specifically on damp & mould.
  • Knowledge of safety and sustainability regulations for properties.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • The ability to manage and resolve property related issues effectively.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.

Job Offer

  • An estimated hourly salary of £27.00 - £33.00 per hour.
  • An opportunity to work in a vibrant team in the Not for Profit and Charities
  • Initial interim work with a view to be extended or becoming permanent.
  • Agile/Hybrid working.
