Building Manager
Building Manager - Islington (130 units - High End) - up to £60k
We’re working with a leading firm of Chartered Surveyors whose multi-disciplinary team manage prestigious blocks and estates across prime London postcodes.
In one such block, a very high end Grade 2 Listed 130 unit Building in Islington, they now require a highly experienced Building Manager as follows:
- Working site/building based, Mon-Fri 8 hours per day (start / finish times negotiable)
- Managing a full time, on-site team of x4 (concierge, porter etc.)
- Ensuring the smooth running of the Building in every sense, providing residents with the high end environment and experience they expect at all times
- Working alongside/reporting back to the Senior Property Manager within whose portfolio this Building sits, acting as eyes and ears on site whilst providing input with regards to service charge budget requirements and contractor management
- Trades / Maintenance savvy, able to identify (and in some cases remedy) repairs and issues as they arise
- Able to manage general and specialist contractors in order to provide best value (i.e. using trades/maintenance knowledge to ensure the Board/Management company are only paying for what genuinely needs doing)
- Highly knowledgeable across H&S and Fire Safety regulation, able to ensure compliance across the Building and its surrounding grounds
- Impeccably presented with excellent communication skills (written / spoken) and a desire to provide 5* service at all times (whilst holding others to the same standards)
Suitable Building Manager applicants will have at least 5 years Building Management experience, ideally within prime London and/or listed buildings, hold a recognised Building/Property/Facilities/Maintenance qualification, come from a stable career background and live within commutable distance of North London.
Salary is negotiable but will likely fall in the range of £40-60k depending on experience and qualification.
