This is your opportunity to put your theoretical knowledge into practice, and combine it with relevant training and paid work experience and work within SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity which would support any future academic applications.

You would find yourself predominately supporting a student who is profoundly deaf and has bilateral cochlear implants. There is twice monthly input from a speech and language therapist who provides targets and a structured programme for the SEN Teaching Assistant to continue on a daily basis.

The Teaching Assistant would be required to support in class as well as leading 1:1 and small group intervention activities. The ideal candidate should be engaging, patient and be able to communicate well with the child.
