BSL Level 3 Teaching Assistant required for a long term vacancy ASAP


JBD Recruitment are recruiting for a professional and experienced BSL Level 3 Teaching Assistant in a fantastically equipped special educational needs school based in Birmingham to join their hardworking team. The most suitable candidate will be required to start ASAP on a long term, full time basis.

You will require the following relevant experience:

  • Proven experience of 6 months minimum supporting and making learning accessible for the deaf, hearing impaired and non-verbal children and those with special educational needs, including complex needs.

  • Assist on a 1:1 basis as well as within a classroom setting.

  • An ability to inspire children, staff and parents alike.

  • Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum.

  • To identify and target specific, individual needs.

  • Create an environment that nurtures and stimulates positive attitudes, independence and an innovative approach to facilitating learning and teaching.

As a BSL Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will be required to:

  • Support pupils in ICT, English, Maths and PE.

  • Have strong subject knowledge of various subjects.

  • Be an enthusiastic, well-motivated and talented classroom practitioner.

  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to relate well and inspire children of all ages and needs.

  • Have the capacity to identify and target specific, individual needs.
