Fantastic opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join a growing firm based in Brighouse.
This independent firm offer a variety of services to their wide range of clients, from audit, accounts, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll.

You will be joining the bookkeeping department, which currently has 5 staff, and you will support with bookkeeping duties and VAT returns, with ad hoc assistance with accounts preparation when needed.

Requirements of the role:

  • Experienced in the use of Sage, QuickBooks, and/or Xero would be beneficial.
  • Able to process transactions into accountancy software accurately and efficiently.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office especially Excel.
  • Experience in preparing bank reconciliations and control accounts.
  • Experience in preparing and submitting VAT returns with knowledge of VAT Regulations and MTD.
  • To actively support and co-operate with other members of the team.
  • Able to work to deadlines and handle several tasks at once, independently prioritising workflow.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Confident, motivated and with strong communication skills both verbal and written.


To be considered you should have at least 3 years of UK bookkeeping experience from an accountancy practice, or from a similar role in industry. Suitable for AAT qualified candidates or qualified by experience.
