Overall Purpose: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a dynamic team in Dudley. As part of a busy accounts office, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions for our diverse portfolio of clients.

Brief Job Description: As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for efficiently processing transactions for our clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Your tasks will include:

  • Entry of sales and purchase invoices
  • Recording and reconciliation of bank/cash/credit card/paypal transactions
  • Preparation and/or review of CIS submissions
  • Assisting clients with bookkeeping-related queries
  • Liaising with HMRC to reconcile VAT/PAYE control accounts
  • Posting month-end journals such as payroll, depreciation, accruals, and prepayments
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns, including VAT schemes

Requirements for the Role:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in practice bookkeeping (preferred)
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of HMRC regulations and compliance procedures

Schedule: Monday to Friday, full time flexi hours considered

Experience: Practice bookkeeping: 2 years (preferred)

Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
