We are currently recruiting for one of the UK’s Leading FMCG companies, for the role of a BI Developer. Join our client, a leading player in the pet health services and insurance industry, as they aim to secure the coveted position of the UK's #1 Pet Insurer.

What You Can Expect

  • Work Type - Contract (6 months)
  • Location - Borehamwood (Hybrid - 2 days per week)
  • Salary - £450 - £550 (Inside IR35)
  • Industry - Insurance

Main Responsibilities as a BI Developer

  • Work on DWH ETL processes (SSIS and native T-SQL) and re-engineer to improve daily ETL run times to continue to meet business/partner SLAs.
  • Examine the end-to-end DWH ETL process (SSIS and native T-SQL) and recommend possible improvements.
  • To ensure all improvements made are documented in detail where necessary.
  • Provide expertise regarding the migration of the current SQL Server 2022 DWH on-premises platform to a Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
  • Use experience to mentor existing developers in advanced SQL optimisation techniques plus Cloud migration.
  • Design and build new ETL processes relating to new business requirements using a combination of SSIS packages and native T-SQL stored procedures.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Previous experience as a BI Developer.
  • Experience with SSIS and T-SQL.
  • Proven background in working on DWH ETL processes.
  • Cloud knowledge ideally with Microsoft Azure.
