About the Position: We are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to join a Secondary school in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support to students with BESD, supporting This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 3:30 pm, with the option for part-time hours.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Provide one-on-one support to students with BESD, assisting them in overcoming behavioural challenges and achieving academic success.

· Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions to promote positive outcomes for students.

· Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.

· Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.

· Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.

Requirements:

· Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in supporting students with BESD.

· Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.

· Empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing behavioural challenges.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and school environments.

Desirable:

· Experience working in both Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings and mainstream settings.
