Behavioural Specialist Teaching Assistant

Nottingham - NG5 |£95-£105 per day | ASAP Start | Long Term Role

LTF Recruitment are looking on behalf of a partner primary school for a Teaching Assistant who is confident and experienced working with complex educational and behavioural needs. The appropriate candidate will be able to implement varied behaviour management strategies, be nurturing and empathetic when working in this setting.

The role will be based in Arnold and will be a long term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. Working Monday-Friday full time, you will be working closely with the class teacher to provide a nurturing and engaging classroom learning experience.

The Applicant:

  • Level 3 or relevant qualification required.
  • Will have relevant SEN experience within an education setting.
  • Be well versed in behaviour management strategies.
  • Be nurturing and caring.
  • Must be flexible to work with other staff.
  • Will have excellent communication skills (non-verbal skills desired).

Responsibilities:

  • Working 1-1 helping to reach appropriate, related targets.
  • Leading small group sessions promoting key skills needed within general lessons.
  • Assisting within the classroom where needed.
  • Making sure correct behaviour is always maintained.
  • Help communicate effectively with parents and staff.
