Baggage Terminals Lead

Are you our next Baggage Terminals Lead? We are looking for someone who can help us redefine what's possible for our Engineering Team.

What is the role?

The Baggage Terminals lead will be responsible for keeping operation flowing smoothly, they will manage team of MBO and the SBO function for baggage.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead and develop duty operational team, set clear objectives and carry Line management.
  • Responsible for optimal use of Baggage system and Infrastructure thus enabling great passenger experience.
  • Responsible for EH&S culture across Operation, using data to influence internal and external teams.
  • Responsible for clear communication to all internal and external stakeholders on baggage operation.
  • Responsible for clear communication to all parties during any disruption events.
  • Support Baggage SEM with third party contracts linked to Operation.
  • Responsible for carrying out audits of all baggage contingencies.

Do you have what we are looking for?

  • Proven track record of working in Baggage operation, having strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate team to deliver optimum service.
  • Experience of working closely with team in high pressure environment to deliver operational requirements.
  • Experience of leading in disruption events for business unit
  • Experience of using Scada system which enables clear understanding of what system is available to operation.
  • Experience of working with handling agents in baggage hall and driving a safe environment
  • Knowledge of baggage SAC system and chute allocations
  • Experience working with Check in and Airline representatives.
  • Stakeholder management skills with the ability to shape and translate business needs.
  • Ability to complete and present management and operational reports to high standard and set deadlines.
