Azure Engineering Lead, Mgr - Cloud Productivity & Engineering (CPE) In this role, you'll be joining our Azure Engineering team within Cloud Productivity & Engineering (CPE) as an Azure Engineering Lead, Mgr reporting directly to the Director for Azure Engineering. This team focuses on building, developing, and supporting our Azure cloud platform to accelerate the time-to-market of innovative finance products. In collaboration with Microsoft, we aim to transform how LSEG leverages the cloud platform. Engage in designing, developing, and building complex cloud services and capabilities. Work alongside architects, developers, and other engineers to ensure efficient Azure Enterprise Scale Landing Zone platforms. Active involvement in decision making areas such as networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery and governance. Tech Profile/Essential Skills • Previous experience leading and mentoring Cloud teams/Communities of Practice. • Proven leadership skills, and capable of building and managing technical teams/comunities of practice. • 8 plus years' experience in designing, developing, and implementing cloud and hybrid Azure Platform solutions. • Can demonstrate deep knowledge in setting up Azure Enterprise Scale Landing Zones and hands on experience with Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework. • Prior experience in roles such as Azure administration, development, or Azure-focused DevOps. • Familiarity with Azure cloud native components. • 5 years' demonstrable experience with CI/CD pipelines. • Proficiency in agile methodologies and CI/CD principles and practices. • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Gitlab. • Excellent planning and communications skills and able to lead conversations with development and product teams. Preferred Skills and Experience • Proven track record working in agile environments • 8 years' hands on experience with Windows/Linux Servers. • Proactive incident management with Azure-based troubleshooting. • Sound understanding of financial markets. Education and Professional Skills • Relevant Professional qualifications. • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related STEM degree. Detailed Responsibilities • Lead and guide multiple communities of practices, including Lead Platform Enginerring managers and platform engineers, encouraging best practices in Azure administration, development, and DevOps processes. • Understands the vision and strategy and articulates it to the communitiy of practice leads and teams; the why", the business case, context, benefits any constraints etc. • Defines key features and platform enhancements needed to keep pace with business demand and own the product backlog. • Lead key strategic projects/iniatives to meet strategic outcomes and enable opporational excellence. • Ensure feedback and learnings are obtained and utilsed as early and often as possible. • Engineer and optimize hybrid Azure Platform solutions, focusing on but not limited to compute, network, storage, monitoring, security and automation. • Collaborate with Lead Platform Engineering Managers, architects, and other stakeholders in the implementation and future development of Azure Landing Zone platform. • Provide expertise in IT operations areas, such as networking, virtualization, identity, security, and governance, ensuring these areas align with the overall Azure Platform strategy.
