If you are familiar with GDS standards, bootstrap and CSS testing, security vulnerabilities testing and/or have made some contribution to open source projects this would be a benefit but is not essential. In terms of other software exposure if you have used or worked with any of the following this would be an advantage; Mocha, Chai, Sinon.js, jUnit, RestAssured, SuperTest, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber/Gherkin, CodeCept, Gatling, Pa11y, Saucelabs/Selenium, Grid/BrowserStack, Jquery, Less.
The nature of our work and agile design teams means that there will be the need for some occasional travel to client sites and also to other parts of the UK as required. We do endeavour to make sure that our members work life is balanced where possible.
Typical responsibilities of a test automation developer include:
·designing and writing test automation scripts
·using test automation frameworks
·investigating problems in software as a result of testing
·working with QA analysts and software developers to find solutions
