Are you an experienced TA looking for a new role in a specialist ASD setting? Are you passionate about supporting young children with Autism?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a caring and professional Autism TA to join this primary school in Camden. This is a full time, long-term role starting ASAP for the full academic year and upon review there will be an opportunity to go permanent.

The School:

This large friendly primary school in Camden have high aspirations for their children. They want them to play, learn and grow into happy and confident individuals and do this by nurturing innate curiosity and creativity as they progress through the school. The rich curriculum ensures that children not only make accelerated progress but that they feel prepared for the future. The school has its own Centre for Autism which is a specialist resource base for children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Every child who attends is part of the wider School community.

As a Autism TA you will be responsible for the below:

  • Supporting students in class, small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities and play
  • Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student
  • Collaborating with staff, parents/carers, and outside agencies
  • Monitoring and recording student progress and achievements

To join us and be successful in this role you will need:

  • Previous experience working with children who have Autism
  • A caring nature
  • Patience and resilience
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
