We are recruiting for a Learning Mentor for a SEND School in Chester to work on a long-term basis starting asap! This opportunity is perfect for someone who is experienced or has transferable skills. This exciting opportunity available for a confident, reliable and passionate individual who has a can do attitude and can support in boosting confidence and attainment of their students. This school is looking for a long-term Learning Mentor to support, boost mindsets and confidence, de-escalate students in crisis and manage behaviours that challenge.
This role will be 8 weeks on supply and then a direct contract with the school, following a successful interview.

This role is Monday to Friday 08:30 – 15:30.

Your role & responsibilities:
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
- Working closely with key children, classes to support children and adhere to their EHCP
- Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
- Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate
Non-negotiables:
- Must have recent and relevant experience in an education setting
- Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
- Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the class teacher
