Audit Director (with RI status) / Audit Senior Manager (with RI status)

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Top30 Accountancy Practice who are looking to appoint an Audit Director (with RI status) for their offices in Northampton, with very flexible working arrangements available. As an Audit RI, you will help develop and manage the implementation of a strategy that secures a sustainable, profitable position in Audit & Assurance Services across the broad East Midlands client base. You will also be supporting the Audit & Assurance service with new and recurring fee income, winning and delivering assignments in line with the annual budget and strategic plan. Key duties include:

  • As an accredited "RI responsible individual", you will be signing audit reports on behalf of the firm to ensure audit quality and compliance
  • Working with an extensive and broad portfolio of audit clients within the OMB and corporate space
  • Working alongside Audit Managers and Client Service Directors on key and mid-tier audit accounts
  • Establishing strong relationships with a significant number of business owners across the region
  • Supporting and managing exceptional delivery of Audit & Assurance services for the client base
  • Responsible for the financial performance and management of your own audit client portfolio
  • Develop a strong commercial understanding of client businesses, identifying opportunities for other service lines where applicable
  • Ensuring the firm's risk management and quality control procedures are consistently adhered to
  • Involved with the recruitment, training, development and motivation of the Audit & Assurance team
  • Participating in office marketing events, sector specific events, writing blogs and technical audit articles
  • Driving existing and new revenue initiatives, implementing operational efficiencies and delivering client service to the highest standard.
  • Developing business from new and existing clients, working with Senior Leadership on strategy and business planning.
  • Delivering assignments as necessary to achieve annual targets, and maintaining quality of services delivered to Clients

To be considered for the Audit Director role you must already hold RI status/RI accreditation, be a Qualified ACA or ACCA Accountant with significant experience operating at Audit Senior Manager/Director level within an ICAEW/ACCA audit registered practice. You should possess strong technical ability with a working knowledge of recent developments in Audit and accounting standards (UK GAAP / IFRS, ISAs), demonstrate gravitas and impact to earn the trust and respect amongst the senior leadership and the wider team. You should also have strong leadership skills with a proven ability to provide clear directions and constructive feedback, exposure to owner managed businesses and a commitment to building the reputation of the firm through the quality of audit work and client service.

On offer is a salary up to £110,000 depending on relevant experience with benefits to include corporate pension, healthcare and 28 days holiday.
