Our Banking and Capital Markets Group is a dedicated team of professionals with deep technical accounting and financial reporting skills, in-depth knowledge of financial instruments and substantial experience of the banking and capital markets industry.

Role description

Our Corporate Treasury Advisory team is experiencing an exceptional rate of growth which will ensure you have a range of exciting opportunities in the future. We continue to contribute heavily to the Deloitte response to the challenging market conditions assisting our clients in a broad range of contexts including treasury strategies and policies, structured transactions, valuations for financial instruments, new accounting standards and specialist financial instrument input into external audits. The work we can offer to applicants at Assistant Manager level includes treasury consulting relating to:

• Strategic advice on treasury including corporate policies and KPIs
• Governance and control
• Cash and liquidity management
• Risk management including foreign exchange, interest rate, credit and commodity risk management
• Treasury technology
• Treasury transformation and benchmarking
• Financial instruments accounting advice to clients or internal colleagues

You would work in many of the above areas depending on skills, experience and interest.

Our Corporate Treasury Advisory team forms part of the Financial Instruments Treasury and Securitisation team which is part of the Banking and Capital Markets Audit Group. The latter provides a range of complimentary services including audit, assurance, regulatory and risk advisory services to major financial services companies and multinational corporates operating in the UK and abroad. We would anticipate successful candidates working closely within our team and the wider Banking and Capital Markets Group and Corporate Audit groups as we continue to service our clients.


You will be based in a Deloitte London office, however travel will be required for client based projects. We work across industry specialisms - our clients are varied, and vary in location. Whilst some clients are London based, we do spend time on site with regional clients. We specify full mobility for our audit roles but we make arrangements respectfully.

As an Assistant Manager within Deloitte's Corporate Treasury Advisory team, you will have the opportunity to help us to continue to build a business focused on serving the world's leading Corporate Treasuries with their most complex business challenges. Our group works across our Corporate Finance, Audit and Assurance, Consulting and Tax practices providing deep treasury experience in financial products and markets, risk management, systems, governance, valuation and accounting.

Strong communication and client management skills are key elements to this role as you will be advising senior personnel on a day to day basis, as well as developing a team. As an integral member of the group and of the firm you will provide support both in delivery and business development initiatives.

To be considered, you will ideally possess some or all of the following attributes;
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers
• Prior experience in a Corporate Treasury function or in treasury advisory services
• Ability to interact with clients and other professionals across the firm
• Desire to work in an advisory environment and build a business and a career in professional services
• Enthusiasm and energy to contribute to the team and what it can achieve
