As a result of ongoing sustained growth, through a combination of both organic client growth and having undertaken a number of successful mergers across the South West, the firm is looking to bolster the Plymouth operations with this key addition. The successful individual will carve an influential, key position, playing a pivotal role in this firms future development. Joining as an Accounts and Audit Manager you will report directly to Partners and will be responsible for managing a mixed and varied range of clients, with service requirements across audit, accounts and tax, along with wide ranging planning and advisory projects. The role is likely to be split approximately 50/50 across audit and accounts/ tax and general practice, along with scope for significant involvement in planning and advisory project work. You will plan, manage, control and oversee the audit fieldwork for a portfolio of the firm's clients. The portfolio will cover a diverse range of clients across predominantly, wide ranging sector OMBs and you will take a lead with these clients, developing strong client relationships. Alongside this, there will also be a significant number of smaller ltd companies and other clients, up to several million in turnover, with more of an accounts, tax and varied, all round service requirement. You will also manage and develop an established team and play a significant role in the growth and development of the Plymouth offices, undertaking business development, networking and winning new client work. There are excellent prospects for short/medium and longer term career progression for career focused individuals, looking to develop and progress their accountancy practice careers, with a clear path on offer towards Director / Partner levels.
You will be a qualified ACA or ACCA professional, with a managerial level of responsibility, as an Accounts and Audit Manager, with a background within the profession. You will have anything from up to 2 - 5 years or more, post qualified practice experience in audit and accounts across a range of industries and turnovers, bringing knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standard and come with a background from any of Top Tier, Mid Tier, medium/large independent, or smaller accounting firm environment. You will be seeking a career move with a clear progression path on offer and opportunity where you can look to lead and influence the direction of this growing office, within a leading firm of chartered accountants.
Circa £35,000 - £50,000 + dependent on experience and background, negotiable, plus benefits
