Are you an accountant working at, or ready to progress to Senior level with a comprehensive all-rounder skillset in accounting, tax and audit?

This client is seeking a flexible member of their workforce who enjoys variety and the opportunity to work on different projects, always aspiring to offer a first class level of service to its growing portfolio of valued clients.

You’ll have supervisory level skills and be comfortable mentoring and nurturing junior colleagues. You’ll also be a strategic thinker and you’ll have outstanding communication and time management skills.

Job Purpose

  • Work closely with senior auditors to support engagements from planning to completion for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Preparation and review of statutory accounts, as well as reviewing accounts prepared by junior staff.
  • Preparation and review of tax computations.
  • Management accounting.
  • Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, being the go-to for support.
  • Deliver a strong commercial awareness, reviewing opportunities for fee development.
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
  • Champion your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities.
  • Support junior team members by knowledge sharing and supporting their progression.

The Successful Applicant

  • ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified previous experience within practice.
  • Experience supporting audits from planning to completion.
  • Adept at the preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Adept at tax computations.
  • Experienced in management accounting.
  • Experienced in audit.
  • A hands-on team player who can also work autonomously.
  • Excellent work ethic, self-motivated, and reliable.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
  • Able to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
  • Good awareness of current affairs and solid commercial acumen.
  • A can-do attitude and a proactive problem solver.
